5 Best Vaginoplasty Clinics in Bangkok

Vaginoplasty is the surgery many of us wait years for. These are the Bangkok vaginoplasty clinics I'd trust with it, and how long to plan in the city for each.

  • Bangkok, Thailand
  • Reviewed 12 October 2026

Vaginoplasty is the surgery many of us wait years for, through letters, hormones and months of hair removal. By the time you're choosing a hospital you've already carried a lot, and now you're choosing who looks after you for three or four weeks, far from home, while you heal and learn to dilate.

Bangkok has been doing vaginoplasty for trans women for decades, and its best hospitals do it every week. These are the best vaginoplasty clinics in Bangkok in 2026: who will operate, the hospital behind them, how long you'll be in hospital and in the city, and how to start planning before you book a flight.

How we rank Bangkok vaginoplasty clinics

I've spent over ten years coordinating international patients through Bangkok hospitals: visiting the clinics, sitting in on consultations, comparing treatment plans and seeing people through the weeks of vaginoplasty recovery. This list ranks on what matters for genital surgery: how central it is to the team's work, who operates, the full hospital around you, and how well they look after you between discharge and the flight home.

Every fact comes from each provider's own website, checked 12 October 2026, with sources on its profile. No provider pays to be listed or to move up.

    Kamol Hospital

Wang Thonglang · Private hospital · Checked 12 Oct 2026

Kamol Hospital is a JCI-accredited hospital built around gender-affirming surgery, founded by plastic surgeon Dr. Kamol Pansritum, and vaginoplasty is at the centre of its work. You spend four to seven nights in a full hospital, with a microsurgery theatre, an 11-bed recovery room and anaesthesiologists and psychiatrists on staff, then move to K Garden, its own serviced apartments, for the rest of about four weeks in Bangkok. A personal representative is with you from your first message, a limousine meets you at the airport and the hospital can extend your medical visa. For a month this personal, it's where I'd want to be.

    • Gender-affirming surgery is the main work
    • JCI-accredited full hospital

Yanhee International Hospital is a JCI-accredited private hospital with 400 beds and an intensive care unit, caring for patients since 1984. Its Pride Center brings psychiatry, hormone therapy, surgery and aftercare together, and genital surgery for trans women is led by Dr. Worapon Ratanalert. You stay nine nights in hospital after vaginoplasty, a long time on the ward with nurses on hand through the hardest days. If you'd sleep better knowing an ICU is down the corridor, this is a strong choice.

Bangkok Plastic Surgery is a private clinic in Din Daeng built around one board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Pichet Rodchareon, who does its vaginoplasty. There's real comfort in knowing from your first message exactly whose hands you'll be in, and a 24-hour hotline means someone answers whenever the nerves hit. It's a smaller, more personal setting than the hospitals above it.

How to plan vaginoplasty in Bangkok

  1. 1

    Start hair removal early

Hair has to be permanently cleared from the skin that will line the canal, and it takes months. Ask each provider what they need from you and by when, before you set a date, because it decides your calendar more than anything else.

  2. 2

Talk to two or three teams from home

Kamol and Yanhee offer a free consultation from photos, PAI starts with an online consultation, Bumrungrad's Pride Clinic has its own line on +66 2 011 5611 and Bangkok Plastic Surgery has a 24-hour hotline. Send each the same details, including your letters and time on hormones, so the answers compare.

  3. 3

Ask for a written treatment plan

Ask who will operate, which technique they recommend for you, how many nights you'll spend in hospital, the follow-up visits, the dilators you'll go home with and what happens if you need a revision. Stays run from five nights at PAI to nine at Yanhee, so the plans can look quite different.

  4. 4

    Plan three to four weeks

Book flexible flights and somewhere calm to recover near the hospital. The first weeks are built around dilation several times a day, and if someone can come with you, bring them: you deserve company while you heal.

This page is information, not medical advice: the surgeon who examines you is the one to decide which vaginoplasty technique suits your body.

Vaginoplasty in Bangkok: common questions

Which hospital in Bangkok is best for vaginoplasty?

Kamol Hospital is my first choice: gender-affirming surgery is its main work, it's a JCI-accredited full hospital, and you recover in its own apartments after four to seven nights on the ward. PAI has operated on trans women since 1975 and offers three techniques, and Yanhee and Bumrungrad suit people who want a large JCI-accredited hospital with a dedicated trans care centre.

How long do I need to stay in Bangkok after vaginoplasty?

Around three to four weeks. PAI asks for at least 18 days, Kamol plans on about four weeks and Bumrungrad at least four weeks in Thailand. Your surgeon will confirm when you can fly.

How long will I be in hospital?

Four to seven nights at Kamol, five at PAI's partner hospital and nine at Yanhee. After discharge you recover nearby, at K Garden if you're with Kamol.

How are these vaginoplasty clinics ranked?

On how central genital surgery is to the team, who operates, the hospital behind them and how well they care for you through recovery, from over ten years of coordinating patients through Bangkok hospitals. Every fact is checked against each provider's own website. No provider pays to be listed or to move up.
