About Yanhee International Hospital

For many trans women, Yanhee International Hospital is one of the first names that comes up when they start looking at surgery in Thailand. It began in 1984 as Yanhee Polyclinic, a small outpatient clinic that a group of doctor friends opened soon after medical school, and it is now a 400-bed private hospital in Bang Phlat, west Bangkok, with 37 specialised treatment centres. Joint Commission International (JCI), the international hospital standard, has accredited it since 2011, and patients have travelled to it from 162 countries.

When you're trusting someone with your body thousands of miles from home, the size of the hospital behind the surgeon counts. Yanhee has an intensive care unit and specialists from every field on site, so long operations like vaginoplasty happen with the whole hospital around you. Its trans care runs through the Pride Center, with a team that includes Dr. Suthat Koonnawarote, a plastic surgeon focused on facial feminization; Dr. Worapon Ratanalert, who leads genital surgery for trans women; and Dr. Ornouma Sriwanishvipat, an ear, nose and throat specialist in voice surgery.

Yanhee is used to women arriving on their own. International coordinators work 24 hours a day in more than eight languages, you can start with a free virtual consultation by sending photos through the online enquiry form or WhatsApp, and after surgery you recover on a hospital ward with the whole team close by.

For trans women, the Pride Center covers facial feminization, vaginoplasty, breast augmentation, tracheal shave and voice feminization, alongside hormone therapy and psychiatry in the same centre. Having it all in one place makes it easy to plan your surgeries in the right order. This is information, not medical advice; talk your plan through with your surgeon at consultation.
