About Preecha Aesthetic Institute (PAI)

Preecha Aesthetic Institute (PAI) carries a name that goes back to the beginnings of trans surgery in Thailand. Its founder, Dr. Preecha Tiewtranon, performed his first male-to-female surgery in 1975; he opened Chollada Clinic in 1978 and, in 2002, founded PAI on Sukhumvit 55, in the Thong Lo area of Bangkok's Watthana district. That's half a century of gender-affirming surgery, and when you're deciding who to trust with your body, that kind of history counts.

PAI has ten consultation rooms and operating rooms of its own for work under local anaesthetic, and every operation under general anaesthetic, which includes vaginoplasty and most facial feminization, takes place at one of its two JCI-accredited partner hospitals in Bangkok. Its plastic surgeons, Dr. Preecha Tiewtranon, Dr. Burin Wangjiraniran and Dr. Sutin Khobunsongserm, are all board-certified in plastic and reconstructive surgery, and PAI works to the WPATH standards of care.

PAI makes the trip easier to plan. Professional interpreters are available for any language, it arranges airport, hotel and hospital transfers and drives you to follow-up visits nearby, and it helps you book a hotel. Every procedure comes with the nights you'll spend in hospital and the minimum days you'll need in Bangkok, so you can plan your leave and who comes with you before you've booked a flight.

For trans women, PAI offers facial feminization, including tracheal shave, vaginoplasty by several techniques and breast augmentation. You start with an online consultation from home and meet the team in person in Bangkok. This is information, not medical advice: decisions about your surgery are for you and your surgeon.
