About Kamol Hospital
Kamol Hospital is a JCI-accredited gender-affirming surgery hospital in Wang Thonglang, north-east Bangkok, and it is the work of one surgeon's career. Dr. Kamol Pansritum, certified by the Thai Board of Plastic Surgery since 1997, operated for six years in Lopburi province before opening his own Bangkok clinic, and in 2009 it moved into the purpose-built 5,200 square metre hospital it occupies today, designed and run by his wife and CEO, Siripen Pansritum. Facial feminization is what his name is known for: more than 10,000 FFS procedures by the hospital's count, for patients from over 70 countries.
Choosing who to trust with your face and your body, thousands of miles from home, is one of the biggest decisions you'll make. What steadies me about Kamol is that it is a full hospital: a microsurgery theatre and an endoscopic theatre, an 11-bed recovery room, its own lab, X-ray and ultrasound, heart checks on site, and anaesthesiologists and gender-affirming psychiatrists on staff. Dr. Sanipreeya Yingtaweesithikul, board-certified since 2015 and at Kamol since 2018, operates alongside Dr. Kamol on facial feminization.
If you're flying to Bangkok on your own, you won't be finding your way alone. Your first consultation is free, from photos, with no referral, and you get a personal representative and video calls with the surgeons before you travel. Multilingual coordinators handle the details, English and Thai are spoken with interpreters on request, a limousine meets you at the airport, the hospital can extend your medical treatment visa, and after discharge you recover at K Garden, its own serviced apartments.
For trans women, Kamol covers face, body and voice: facial feminization, vaginoplasty including the peritoneal technique, breast augmentation and voice feminization. Get your plan and your surgeon confirmed in writing at consultation. This is information, not medical advice; decisions about your surgery are for you and your surgeon.
